Learn 6 Ways To Be a Champion For Foster Youth and Young Adults.
For the month of May, to show our support for Foster Care Month, we will be highlighting young adults and sharing their experiences as an advocate for foster youth. Read Ben’s story below:
“I want to help improve systems of care for current and future members.”
Ben is passionate about improving the lives of the 17,000 children and youth in Arizona foster care. From his personal experience in a group home setting, as well as independent living, Ben feels that he can shed a personal light on the resources and services impacting young adults in care. As an IT specialist for Jewish Family & Children Services, Ben plans to continue pursuing his educational goals in 2015. He hopes that other foster alumni will utilize resources such as the Education Training Voucher and the Arizona Tuition Waiver to aspire and obtain their educational goals as well.
